Advocacy — Current member consultations

A
The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) is recognised by stakeholders at a parliamentary and departmental level as a source of sound policy advice on matters affecting the dental industry. This places ADIA in a strong position to be an effective advocate on behalf of the industry when asked by government to review reforms of interest to the industry.

ADIA is currently working with the Australian Government to consider the following reforms and member comment is sought on the following:

a
In working with ADIA member businesses to provide advice to the Australian Government on these matters, ADIA's approach is underpinned that within Australia, and increasingly internationally, the dental industry operates as a single, integrated market. ADIA therefore works on behalf of its members to enure that, as is possible, regulatory change is universal and that uniformly applied rules of market conduct should apply to all market participants regardless of their location.

As the peak representative body for suppliers of quality dental products our policy is developed by, and on behalf of, members in pursuit of a vibrant dental industry where government supports business growth and workplace innovation whilst removing excessive and sometimes redundant regulation.

In providing a response to the Australian Government on these matters, advice is framed in the context of the ADIA Advocacy Agenda that seeks to create an environment in which businesses in the dental industry can grow, create jobs and operate sustainably.

Member Engagement —

ADIA provides leadership, strategy, advocacy and support. Our members set our agenda, fund our activities and directly benefit from the results. The issues that ADIA staff progress progresses at a parliamentary and departmental level are identified by members serving on ADIA National Committees and who belong to special interest groups. Members receive online updates and at ADIA State Branch Briefings.
